Jazz & Blues

Bluesberry Jazz

Friday, June 27th:  7-9 pm

Bluesberry Jazz is the latest project from our friend keyboardist Billy Sapienza.   " I was jamming one afternoon with drummer John Bollinger (fellow Haugenes Project band member) who suggested since we knew so many musicians who are retired, why not hold a weekly Tuesday afternoon jam session.  The result of that discussion has morphed into Bluesberry Jazz, a mix of jazz, blues, rock, and acoustic music.  This performance at the Sensorium will highlight original music culled from Billy's and guitarist Jeff Rauso's catalogues, and a original tune from harp player Jay Ahl. Ray Rasa's bass fills out this quintet; playing jazzy instrumentals, tasteful acoustic ballads, and rockin' blues.

BYOB.  Tickets are $5 and include complimentary snacks.

July

tom foti

Friday, July 11th, 7-9 pm

With a rave album review by the Houston Press, with being the featured "Song of the Week" artist by NewJerseystage.com, with being selected by the Tri-City News as a Jersey Shore Arts and Culture Pick for the weekend for his previous Red Bank performance, and also getting a fun write-up and photo in the popular RedBankGreen.com magazine, along with having 14 original songs on the airwaves in the fourth biggest market in the country, Tom Foti is making the kind of noise that people want to hear. See for yourself what the critics and industry professionals already figured out. This guy is for real.

Irish Folk Punk

Daly rituals

Friday, July 18th:  7-9 pm

Daly Rituals is a folk-punk band based out of Highlands NJ. Founded by Kevin Daly and Pat Conley (Patty C) in 2018 the band has since gained its newest member Heather Raynes on fiddle. Each member is a singer/songwriter in their own right coming together to play the works of Kev and Patty as well as an array of Rock N' Roll and traditional Irish music that has been passed down for generations.

"I don't remember a time in my life without music" says Kev Daly "whether it was Dad cleaning the house to Grateful Dead bootlegs he taped in the 70's, or my Nan blasting the Wolfe tones to piss off the neighbors." Family, friends and long nights forgetting the words to songs we've sang a hundred times is the very Spirit of the band. Keeping true to our central jersey roots, we hope our passion for the craft moves you in some way, either to laughter, tears, or maybe just to the dance floor.
